SHANDON PLAZA – CENTRE FOR RUSSIAN CULTURE
The Centre for Russian Culture is running a children ceramic art exhibition at Shandon plaza this year. The theme of the exhibition is ‘My Beautiful Cork’. The launch of the exhibition is at 6 pm. We will also provide a free pottery workshop for children and adults between 4 pm and 5.30pm on the day.

Charlie Byrne’s: Readings and Radio
The iconic Galway city centre bookshop hosts the now traditional Culture Night literary gathering which invites readings by every Galway author who has had a book published in the last year. Encompassing, fiction, non–fiction, poetry and in any language, authors will read a short selection from their books. Le Petit Pois: Screening of Franco Iranian movie – Persepolis
Iconic French restaurant Le Petit Pois returns to Culture Night, screening Persepolis with English subtitles. Persepolis is a 2007 adult animated comedy-drama film based on Marjane Satrapi’s autobiographical graphic novel of the same name. The film was written and directed by Satrapi with Vincent Paronnaud. The story follows a young girl as she comes of age against the backdrop of the Iranian revolution.
