Czech School Dublin, founded in 2014, is a non-profit organization based in Dublin offering courses of Czech language and cultural background for children from mixed marriages and Czech families living in Ireland. It is part of the Czech School Without Borders network and follows the Czech national curriculum.
In the current school year, bilingual and multilingual children who have Czech as one of their languages can attend the following courses: three pre-school groups (3 – 6 years), First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth and Eight class. The school also runs a school club as well as their own drama club.
Classes take place every Saturday in Ballyroan Community and Youth Centre and nearby Ballyroan Library in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 (map)
School Fee: €12 per tuition payable in two instances (first and second term)
20% second child discount
From the first class up, the children need to have a good understanding and active knowledge of the Czech language in order to be able to follow the lessons. We also prepare children for the end of year exams in Czech public schools.
