INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY FESTIVAL 2018
Do you want to spend a day immersed in a world of languages and cultures? Join us for a day full of art, music, theatre, and much more!
The first Mother Tongues Festival will take place on the 24th of February 2018 on UNESCO International Mother Language Day, in the Outhouse, Capel Street, Dublin 1.
To celebrate UNESCO’s International Mother Language Day, Mother Tongues is organising its first multilingual festival, which will feature performances and workshops in many different languages, including Irish, Polish, Arabic, Mandarin, Italian, Spanish, Romanian and many more! Our artists, performers and language lovers will entertain you in their own mother tongue, while showing you that our many languages are very much alive and in use all around us every day!
Having a festival in which many languages are used for many different purposes is our way of showing you that every language matters, no matter how “big” or “small” it is!
