In collaboration with the School of Education at Trinity College, we have produced short videos on how families can support young children with their literacy, numeracy and creativity during the school shut down in 4 languages (Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish and Romanian) as well as in English. They will be available from Tuesday for all to see and share on the Mother Tongues and on the TCD Youtube channels.
The materials will be accompanied by a live webinar, in which we will be highlighting the opportunities in the everyday lives of multilingual families for parents to support young children learning at home in all and any of the languages at their disposal.
Webinar Tuesday 9th June at 3 pm and YouTube videos.
The webinar is organised by the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin and Mother Tongues and speakers include Ann Devitt, Francesca La Morgia, Déirdre Kirwan, Eadaoin Kelly and Cathal O’Gorman.
This work is a collaboration between Mother Tongues and Trinity College and is part of the Family Digital Literacy project, a collaboration with NALA and funded by the Irish Research Council.
