European Language Label Award 2024
We are delighted to have received the European Language Label Award 2024 for our Language Explorers programme!
This Award highlights and celebrates innovative and creative projects in the field of language learning, teaching, and promotion. The thematic priorities for 2023/24 included: support for newly arrived migrants and displaced children, as well as support to projects addressing minorities and regional languages to promote equity, social cohesion, and active citizenship. It is coordinated by the European Commission and managed Ireland wide by Léargas.

National finalist
Mother Tongues is a national finalist in the National Lottery Good Causes Awards 2022 in the Arts & Culture category.
The Impact Programme -
Social Entrepreneur Ireland
In 2021/2022, Mother Tongues participated in the prestigious Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Impact programme as an awardee. The SEI Impact Programme is a nine-month accelerator programme that identifies high-potential social entrepreneurs and supports them through significant funding and mentoring, as well as providing access to a network of support with a view to becoming a highly impactful, effective, scalable, and sustainable organisation.
European Language Label Award 2018
Language Explorers was one of the nine projects awarded the 2018 European Language Label Awards! Dr Francesca La Morgia collected the awards from Minister of Education and Skills Richard Bruton TD at a ceremony in Croke Park Conference Centre on behalf of Mother Tongues and Canal Way Educate Together.
The European Language Label is coordinated by the European Commission and in Ireland is managed by Léargas. The label recognises outstanding achievement in the teaching or learning of languages. European Language Label awards are prestigious and presented at a public ceremony in September each year.

Language Explorers was selected as one of the most impactful and scalable innovations in education for the HundrED Spotlight on Parental Engagement in 2021!
The Parental Engagement Spotlight is a collection of the most impactful and scalable programs creating stronger school/family bonds from around the world. Language Explorers was one of the 12 Selected Innovators, chosen from 187 submissions from almost 50 countries.
