Places of ARcture at the London festival of Architecture

Places of ARcture will be part of the LFA digital 2020 of London festival of Architecture, which will take place between 1-30 June.
They will be facilitating various online events in collaboration with a group of artists, architects and special educators. Find out more:

Places of ArcTure organized their first event during Dublin City University’s refugee week by curating “the Syrian Architects Art and Design Exhibition” showcasing the work of graduate Syrian architects from Aleppo who completed their studies throughout the war.
They also facilitated a children’s workshop “Play in Architecture”, teaching design principles through play.
Places of ARcture was pleased to be part of the See Through Café project @ RUA RED as a facilitator for its first meeting in collaboration with Mother Tongues on 19th October 2019.

Muhammad Achour grew up in Aleppo, Syria and studied architecture in Aleppo before relocating to Dublin where he works now in DCU as a teaching assistant. During his masters studies at UCD in 2016 he fell in love with the idea of community engagement and the search for making better cities, so he founded Places of ARcture, a collettive that uses art and architecture to engage with young people in local communities and refugee
